Why does the world drink on trees?
First of all you need to know what a possum is. Wikipedia will tell you. My brief impression: They look like heavy rats sitting in trees and scaring the shit out of you by jumping down the tree right next to you… That’s how I got introduced to them.
Apparently it all started in Dunedin, a student town on the south island of New Zealand. A bunch of students decided to play a drinking game called “Possum”.
The rules are very simpl: You sit in a tree and drink until you fall out of it from drunkenness. The winner is obviously the one that falls out last.
